King Street's new restaurant excels at elegant food for sharing
THE first thing to say about Suri is that the food here is very good. The second is that they've created a gorgeous space on King Street to enjoy it in. Eating here gives your day a real lift, even if you just popped in for a light lunch on a work day.
This confident new opening does Mediterranean dishes with subtle influences from the Middle East. So lots of fresh fish and quality cuts of meat, lots of seasonal vegetables and herby, exotic salads, and an evocative hint of spice and smokiness.
The dishes are lovely to look at: colourful, elegant, perfectly balanced. They're served for sharing, communal-style between the whole table, which adds to the good feelings Suri creates in its guests.
