On Thursday 11 February, The New World Trading Company will host a countrywide attempt to win the a Guinness World Record for the largest gin tasting...win this competition and you could be a part of it, at The Botanist in Alderley Edge or Manchester Deansgate.
The company is no stranger to breaking Guinness World Records, having garnered awards for ale tastings and the largest collection of rums available commercially. February’s attempt celebrates the recent addition of a new ‘perfect serve’ gin list to The Botanist and Trading House menus, a compilation of worldwide gins that offers a variety of botanical flavours and garnish pairings.
On the evening of the Guinness World Record attempt, 100 people in each of the nine Botanist and Trading House sites taking part will sample three gins from each sponsor: Tanqueray 10, Whitley Neill and Caorunn Gin.
Following that, a huge celebratory party will be thrown; in which lucky participants can enjoy gin cocktails, live music, nibbles and gin tastings.
