Win a dinner party by Elnecot

ELNECOT, the bright new arrival on the Ancoat's dining scene, has speedily built a reputation as an  experience worth travelling for. But if you win this competition, you don't even need to leave your home: they'll come to you.

Or more specifically, their co-owner and chef Michael Clay will. He'll cook up an Elnecot-style dinner for you and five friends, at your place, to the value of £300.

This classically-trained, globe-trotting chef has brought in some great reviews since Elnecot opened in September. He's fully committed to seasonal and local, going as far as foraging ingredients for some dishes. Our writer Neil Sowerby described Elnecot's food as 'England meets France with a nod to Fergus ‘nose to tail’ Henderson.' Think braised ox cheeks, Manchester smoked salmon, and Lancashire cheese tart and the like.

With an inventive but approachable style, it's safe to say that whatever he creates for your dinner party, your guests will be a happy bunch. If they've not been to Ancoats to visit Elnecot before the party, they'll be heading there soon afterwards.
