Family meal out or match-day drinks with friends...spend it how you like

SOME visitor attraction cafes naturally attract people who haven't been to the attraction itself (we're thinking The Whitworth, Manchester Art Gallery, The Lowry Theatre and so on).

Cafe Football at the National Football Museum hasn't made it onto that list yet. Which is a shame because the food here impresses, whether you like, love or loathe the beautiful game itself. It's an obvious choice if you're going to the museum – but it's also well worth a visit if you're not.

The menu offers family-friendly dishes such as pizza and burgers, alongside dishes that'll win over football-loving foodies too. Try their flat iron steak with rocket and watercress salad and skin-on fries (£10) or their protein-packed chicken breast with chorizo, sweet potato salad and coriander yoghurt (£10).

In this competition, you can win £100 to spend at Cafe Football on food and drinks. Take family or friends for a meal, or head there to watch the game with your mates (they have nine plasma screens showing the big matches).

You can spend your £100 solely on drinks if you like – the bar serves well-crafted cocktails, Seven Brother's craft ales, and a surprisingly diverse range of wines, beers and spirits.
