On Wednesday 9 March, they're holding an El Dorado rum tasting session. The event costs £10 per person and kicks off at 7.30pm. You'll get to taste each of the five rums in the stunning demerara range as well as sipping on two rather nifty rum-based cocktails. The fun doesn't stop there. The Pen And Pencil have DJs on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Expect great tunes from names such as Pasta Paul, Will Tramp, Disco Mums and Duncan Wallis from Dutch Uncles. What's more, on Thursdays you can enjoy a gin and tonic or a rum and coke for just £3 and we're not talking any old rubbish here – this is Portobello Road gin and El Dorado rum.
And who could forget the Tuesday quiz? It's a one pound in, winner-takes-all, battle of the wits. General knowledge, film and TV, music and, of course, the fiendish wildcard round. Not too tricky if you've chosen it, but if you haven't...
The Pen And Pencil always has something on. You might never want to leave. Spend as much time as you can at The Pen And Pencil and hire out its private room for your own event. It caters for up to 80 guests, there's no minimum spend and no room hire fee. As you'd expect from The Pen And Pencil, there are some pretty tempting food and drink packages to be had.
