Forget champagne, chocolates or scented candles this year as as Chetham’s School of Music has come up with a unique gift – the chance to immortalise your love on Manchester's newest building.
Chetham’s Raise the Roof appeal supports Chetham’s new school building and when you buy one (or more) of the nearly half a million bricks which go into its construction, you will be asked for a personalised message to be featured in their Virtual Wall of Donors.
This will give you an exciting and unusual opportunity to express why Chetham’s means a lot to you or to a loved one.
Or perhaps just give you an excuse to do something a bit weird.
The real bricks are all being hand-made in Yorkshire, to give the new school building a distinctive appearance through the texture and colour of the bricks. They're called 'Chetham's bricks'. The picture at the top of the page shows the architect of Chetham's new school showing the brick off.

Chetham's will contact you to confirm the number of bricks you have bought and to ask if you would like to give a personalised message.
Alternatively, you can make a donation by cheque, payable to 'Chetham’s'.
