GINGER cakes, parkin, pumpkins, winter spiced pies. At the Urban Market at Greengate Square this weekend, you can stock up on all the foods that make this time of year so scrumptious.
Fill your baskets with home-made cakes, dainty macaroons, artisan breads, crusty pies, and deli goodies.
October's market takes on a distinctly autumnal theme, just in time for Halloween and Bonfire Night. As well as the seasonal produce, there's warming soups and sausages, and spooky surprises for the little ones.
The Urban Market is a monthly event which showcases the best local creative, foodie, and design-led artisans, mixed in with live performances and cookery demonstrations.
Fill your baskets with home-made cakes, dainty macaroons, artisan breads, crusty pies, and deli goodies. There's also street food and coffee to enjoy while you browse. And why not make a start on your Christmas shopping? There are stalls selling art, photography, vintage goods, jewellery, plants, and much more.
Plus, you can win a hamper full of market delights direct from the traders. Just complete a questionnaire at the event to be in with a chance of winning.
The Urban Market is held at Greengate Square, on the corner of Chapel Street and Victoria Bridge Street, about five minutes' walk from Manchester city centre. Just head to Manchester Cathedral then cross the new footbridge. Greengate Square is Salford's newest public space and is the perfect place to shop, take a breather, or grab something tasty to eat.
