MANCHESTER’S most anticipated ‘social networking to social event', #TwitFaced, returns on Friday 8 May for its eleventh party at Lucha Libre, Deansgate.
Everyone who likes a tweet or two is invited.
#Twitfaced is a chance to let your hair down with likeminded Manchester business folk who enjoy chatting face-to-face as well as on Twitter. There will be the usual drinks giveaways, awards, music and fun and games. It's an evening of merriment, madness and most definitely, making new friends.
The ‘Dos Amigos’ theme recognises that at the heart of any networking connection, be it social or traditional, it takes two people to first get to know, then like and finally trust each other. Thereafter, the rest is a doddle.
Tickets are currently £6 each (plus a small fee) but limited in number. Register here
For the first time, TwitFaced will be broadcasting live on the local and independent Unity Radio Station between 4-7pm. More details will be revealed soon.
Expect musical delights from ‘Across The Tracks' Martin Glynn, who has DJ’d at many of Manchester’s best known clubs. Glynn, a resident over the years at Prague Five, Holy City Zoo, Rossetti, Panacea and Sub Space, is to play an eclectic mix of dance floor favourites, old and new.
Slammin' Boy’s Mark Hogg, fresh from celebrating twenty years DJ’ing at some of the world’s finest dancefloors (Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Home, El Divino), will also be hitting the decks to spin his usual upbeat dance grooves. Mark is a firm #TwitFaced favourite and knows how to get a party going.
Official entertainment partner, Make Happen are hosting ‘BoothStorming’, an early evening, speed-TwitFaced session which will be introducing groups of people over a free drink and plenty of tacos. First come, first served, folks. Tweet @Twitfacedevents, if interested.
At the opposite end of the sensible scale, there’ll be the mandatory influx of low-dignity entertainment including an organized dance-off and a Limbo competition for the most adventurous amongst the crowd.
Big Knows himself, Simon Calderbank will, as always, be the host with the most for the evening (and who knows what he’ll have up his sleeve this time after Bad Santa’s antics back in December...)
Aside from this jam-packed line-up, you can expect the usual surprises, games and hotly contested awards such as ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘Most TwitFaced’.
#TwitFaced starts from 6pm on Friday 8 May at Lucha Libre, Great Northern Square 235 Deansgate and is scheduled to last till 2am. Register here
