DESCRIBED as THE ‘Social Networking to Social event', it's a chance to let your hair down with like-minded Manchester business folk who enjoy chatting face-to-face as well as on Twitter. There's drinks giveaways, awards, music, and fun and games. It's an evening of merriment and madness, and everyone who likes a tweet or two is invited.
Tickets are £10 each (plus a small fee) but limited in number. Register here. The price includes a welcome shot and drinks voucher as well as plenty of entertainment.
First up, there'll be musical delights from Across The Tracks' Martin Glynn, who has DJ’ed at almost all of Manchester’s best known clubs (apart from 42nd Street).
Resident over the years at Prague Five, Holy City Zoo, Rossetti, Panacea and Sub Space, Martin plays an eclectic mix of dance floor favourites, old and new. As part of the Across the Tracks collective Martin is a regular on the scene.
Slammin Boy’s Mark Hogg, fresh from celebrating 20 years DJ’ing to some of the world’s finest dancefloors (Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Home, El Divino), will also be hitting the decks to spin his usual upbeat dance grooves. Mark is a firm TwitFaced favourite and knows how to get a party going.
There will be the mandatory influx of entertainment throughout the night including the return of our very own Mr.Mentalist and mindreader, Chris Rawlins. And almost part of the TwitFaced furniture now, James Anthony will once again bamboozle the crowd with his own brand of illusion and sorcery.
Official entertainment partner Make Happen are kindly hosting a live musical extravaganza with party band Phunk Phenomena. And if it’s anything like Bonkers Basement last time, prepare yourself, as things could get messy. Big Knows himself, Simon Calderbank will, as always, be your host with the most for the evening entertaining inside and outside the venue.
Aside from ALL this you can expect the usual surprises, games and hotly contested awards such as ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘Most TwitFaced’.
Organisers, Studio North would like to extend a big thank you to the kind sponsors MRJ Recruitment, theEword, HR Heroes, Melbourne Hosting, ITsourced, and UpSearch. And last but not least another big thanks to Manchester Confidential, who’ve been with us, as media partners, from day one.
#TwitFaced starts from 6.30pm on Friday 11 July at Lucha Libre and is scheduled to last till 2am, possibly later. Register here.
Cheers, the TwitFaced Team
