Independent specialist Cork of the North, which has branches in Heaton Moor and Sale, is well known for its award-winning wine tastings, which are as hilarious and entertaining as they are informative and educational. Cork of the North – and its enigmatic owner Marc Hough – won the Manchester Food and Drink Awards’ "Best Online Content" for its online wine tastings during lockdown.
Cork of the North runs regular wine tastings at both of its branches. For £30pp, you can have six delicious wines to try, along with nibbles and expert commentary from Marc or another one of Cork of the North’s wine experts.
This prize is for up to eight people, and the lucky winner can pick from any of the tasting dates on Cork of the North’s website – at either branch, or even online - with miniature bottles delivered directly to you and your mates’ doorsteps.

There is a huge wine list to enjoy in the bars or to take away from the shops – there's always a whopping menu of 36 different wines available by the glass.
