With sixteen studio albums, three compilation albums, two live albums, two DVDs and three EPs, Californian punk rock band Bad Religion is a major worldwide success, having sold over five million albums in total. The band was formed by high school students in 1980 and the members have changed since then many times, but the band now contains three of the original four members and is due to release their next album in 2016.

Singer-songwriters Kate Voegele and Tyler Hilton come to Manchester Academy during their joint UK tour this August. Kate Voegele has achieved notable success with her Wild Card EP which was released in November 2014, appearing in the top 10 pop albums iTunes US chart. Her fourth album comes out later this year. Tyler Hilton is a singer-songwriter and actor, having appeared as Elvis Presley in “Walk the Line” and alongside Halle Berry in the hit-TV series “Extant”. Both Voegele and Hilton are known for their roles as musicians in the American TV drama One Tree Hill.

With this collection of artists it will be a diverse night of rock anthems, funk, powerful vocals and tranquil tones.

Nahko’s ‘Medicine for the People’ started from his public musical journal of spiritual, social and personal healing that he began to document his journey to self-discovery, after leaving home as a teenager. Originally from Oregon, Nahko is part Puerto Rican, Native American, and Filipino. His music is a mixture of folk rock and hip-hop, and he describes his dream for his ‘Medicine for the People’ movement as wanting it “To be a catalyst for big environmental and social change in all kinds of communities”.

Best-selling American punk rock band The Offspring come to the Apollo for one night, featuring support act Bright Young People. Formed in 1984 from Huntington Beach, California, The Offspring have produced nine studio albums, selling over 36 million records worldwide.

American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sufjan Stevens has produced seven studio albums of varying styles, singing and playing many his own backing instruments. The supporting act is modern soulful folk duo Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear.
FRANZ FERDINAND & SPARKS (FFS) | Albert Hall | Tues 25 Aug
Mercury prize winning Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand and American rock band Sparks joined together in March this year to create supergroup FFS after having been recording since 2000. After releasing their eponymous debut studio album in June, the group comes to Albert Hall this August.

Jamaican reggae group Third World were formed in 1973. They base their music on reggae roots, whilst incorporating elements of R & B, funk, pop, rock, dancehall and rap. They were featured regularly on American and British charts during the 80s. Dub selector Mikey Don is a resident at Night of the Living Dread.
