Expect plenty of laughs at Fairfield Social Club this spring

A three-day comedy festival is coming to Manchester’s Fairfield Social Club this May.

A Lovely Weekend has announced its 2026 line-up as it takes over the Fairfield Social Club between Friday 29 and Sunday 31 May.

On the opening day, audiences can enjoy comedy favourites like Last One Laughing star Harriet Kemsley and internet sensation Tom Lawrinson. Saturday will see the return of Mark Silcox from BBC’s Man Like Mobeen, following sell-out shows last year, as well as the first ever live show of Sean McLoughlin’s popular podcast The Sean McTalk Show. He will be joined by stand-up comic Josh Pugh, newly announced SNL UK cast member Larry Dean and French comedian and writer Celya AB on the Sunday.

“With around 20 shows over the course of 3 days we can’t wait to pack out Fairfield Social Club with comedy fans for a heck of a lovely time and speaking personally, my favourite weekend of the year!” said A Lovely Weekend producer John Stansfield.

This year’s festival is supported by Found, Fairfield Social Club’s commercial operator, and alcohol-free brewery BRULO.

“We are delighted to sponsor A Lovely Weekend. We pride ourselves on driving awareness of our incredible neighbourhoods across MeadowSide and Red Bank - areas that still feel pretty undiscovered in comparison to the other well-known areas of the city. We're certain the Festival will attract many people over the weekend to this developing corner of the city,” says Gemma Price, Managing Director of Found.

“We are thrilled to sponsor A Lovely Weekend. At BRULO, we pride ourselves on crafting 'Beer for the Modern World,' ensuring that people who love the culture of craft beer never have to sacrifice flavour just because they are skipping the alcohol. Pairing our uncompromising brews with a lineup featuring some of the UK’s best comedians will make for an unforgettable weekend,” adds Will Alex, Sales Director of BRULO.

Weekend passes are now available for £80 and include a complimentary brew and breakfast sarnie on Saturday and Sunday. Single day passes are available for each day over the weekend (Saturday £50/Sunday £45), and tickets can also be purchased for individual shows. Book here.
