This is Mr Cooper’s bar menu, with a tasty small plates offer you don’t want to miss
Did you know Mr Cooper is a real person? He lived on the site of The Midland Hotel in 1819 and was famed for his beautiful gardens.
Needless to say, his namesake bar and brasserie has serious heritage. But that doesn’t mean it’s stuck in the past, quite the contrary: Mr Cooper’s is fresh and modern, inspired by contemporary Manchester.
Innovation, diversity and local ingredients are all reflected in the award-winning menu - whose plaudits include the Good Food Guide and the Eat Drink Sleep Awards - but you don’t need to visit the restaurant to enjoy a taste of Mr Cooper’s. As well as belting snacks, the fantastic new bar offer means you can now enjoy three delectable small plates and a drink for just £16.
As Marks & Sparks would say, ‘these are no normal small plates, these are Mr Cooper’s small plates.’ Choose from six dishes including homemade sourdough with whipped butter, pulled pork and apple croquettes, spiced calamari with squid ink mayonnaise, cauliflower and cumin fritters with lime yoghurt, chargrilled padron peppers and boneless chicken wings with tamarind, chilli and spring onion.
Not only are they top notch (we’ve tried them all) but they’re great for sharing between friends. Accompany with a glass of house wine, Prosecco, house spirit and mixer, soft drink or a pint of draught beer for a great value get-together.
Luxurious yet informal, Mr Cooper’s is the ideal compromise. It has a sense of occasion (check out the marble tables and chandeliers) but chilled music and comfy seating reflect a relaxed approach to dining. Dressed up or down, celebrating or popping in after work, you’ll feel equally at home.
Kick back in the raised corner area, decked out in quirky book wallpaper, and take in the glorious Central Library through the huge windows. Or sit nearer the bar for a fantastic view through to the restaurant and its signature indoor tree.
The new offer is available during all bar opening hours, so there’s no excuse not to drop in and take advantage. You’ll thank us later…
