Children’s favourite, Captain Barnacles, leader of the Octonauts, will be making a guest appearance at Urban Exchange on Great Ancoats Street in Manchester city centre on Easter Saturday 30 March at intervals between 10.30am and 3.30pm. The popular CBeebies polar bear will be in the atrium of the Go Outdoors store where he will be meeting and greeting young fans.
Entry is free. Face painting will also be available at a charge of £2 per person.

Imperial War Museum North

This Easter, IWM North, part of Imperial War Museums, in Manchester has a swarm of activities for all the family. Battling Bugs, a three week long family festival, explores the creepy crawlies faced by troops in wartime, as well as the battle against bacteria faced by sickly soldiers. Free activities for all the family include storytelling, performances and creative sessions throughout the school holidays - as well as the chance to get up close and personal with real life creatures.
