They're having an Open Day and Family Fun Day on Saturday 22 September where you can try out their facilities, take a free class, enjoy a barbecue on the terrace, and get a good feel for what the place is like.
Over 400 people joined the Y Club this summer. It's got a great location in Castlefield, extensive facilities including a 18m swimming pool, and a packed schedule of classes – which are all included in your membership fee. The new weekend yogalates and zumba classes are proving particularly popular.
They've also had a refurbishment, including a transformed cardio and resistance weights room with all new resistance machines.
The Y Club has a reputation for being a friendly, non-intimating club, where it's easy to feel at home. If you've never been, or haven't been for a while, go and take a look.

Open Day: 8am-7pm
- Free use of the gym, 18m swimming pool, sauna, steam room, running track, and weights room.
- Free Zumba class from 1pm to 2pm.
- Free Yogalates class from 2pm to 3pm.
- Barbecue on the terrace from midday to 7pm (weather permitting).
- 15% off the lounge bar menu at The Castlefield Hotel.
Family Fun Day: midday to 4pm
- Free children's activities including face painting, children’s entertainer, bouncy castle, soft play area and fun swim.
- Free taster sessions of junior wrestling, judo and trampolining.
- Community Games – charity Zumbathon from 2pm to 4pm. (£1.50 entry fee goes to Manchester YMCA projects.)
- Barbecue on the terrace from midday to 7pm (weather permitting).
