IT seems that Mancunians can't get enough of The Lady Boys of Bangkok. The gender-bending cabaret act is back for what must be the Ninth Year running...and yes, we're going. It's an all-new production. And there's something strangely beguiling about these boy-girls in sparkly sequins that's hard to resist.

In case you're new in town, a quick recap of what they're all about. It's a non-sleazy and very funny cabaret 'party night'. A show of epic proportions, danced and acted out by sixteen entrancing beauties in elaborate costumes, who you would swear blind are women (but who actually are men).

This year's all new production is called ‘Carnival Queens’. It'll be in Manchester from Friday 29 June to Saturday 14 July 2012.

Confidential is running a £10 off ticket offer – for more info, click here.
According to the director, Phillip Gandey, this year's show “resounds to the timeless Latin beats of fiesta and pulsates to the chart-topping sounds of today.”

M214He promises perfect make-up, stunning costumes and fabulous choreography. Plus some well-known divas getting the full Lady Boys' treatment – J-Lo and Lady Gaga look out.

The show takes place in the Thai wonderland of the Sabai Pavilion – a specially erected show arena on Sackville Street NCP. Inside there's a fully-stocked bar and fresh Thai food from their resident chef, so you can make a real night of it.

Seating is around tables of eight, making it ideal for nights out with groups of friends. If you've not been and you're curious, we heartily recommend it. It's a cringe-free, fun night out that'll have you dancing, singing and wondering how it's possible for a boy to look that good in a dress.
