THE only 'dark' tours in Manchester are the Haunted Underworld tours led by Jonathan Schofield, the Manchester Confidential editor.
New dates have now been released from August to December.
I wanted to say a big thank you for a great evening on the Haunted Underworld tour. We had a great time as did our friends – they are still speaking to me so that’s a good sign.
In a dark and mysterious undercroft of the city centre old stories are come alive. There are tales of dead artists, sinister magicians, tragic lovers and demons. You will find the stories moving, tragic but incorporating a few laughs as well.
The tour is conducted in the dark with just the faintest of light to encourage 'activity' of a spooky kind. The tour isn't recommended for children under ten years of age.
The price is £10.
“I would like to thank Jonathan Schofield for scaring the bejesus out of me on the Haunted Underworld tour last night.” Andrew Jackson, Import Manager.
"I wanted to say a big thank you for a great evening on the Haunted Underworld tour. We had a great time as did our friends – they are still speaking to me so that’s a good sign. Seriously though, I have had good comments from all that went. Still laugh when I think about the scream that Fiona let out, think it made you jump as well." Al Clegg.
Meet in St Ann’s Square, at the War Memorial at 1.30pm.
