We're pleased to announce the second meeting of the Confidential Dinner Club - our new supper club that champions the fantastic food scene in this city of ours.
Each month we meet for an exclusive dinner at a notable Manchester restaurant. Places are limited to keep it intimate, and the menu is chosen specially for the night.
It's sociable, relaxed, and we hope, inspiring - both due to the beautiful food and the new people you'll meet.
The next event is at Café Istanbul on Thursday 12 June. It's a three-course menu priced at £24.95. Arrive at 7pm, dinner at 7.30pm. Places are limited to just 50 people.

The destination: Café Istanbul
We've selected Café Istanbul because it's a true Manchester classic. It's unassuming, it isn't swayed by trends, and it delivers the goods year after year. A restaurant doesn't succeed in the city centre this long (34 years) without offering something special. In this case, exquisite Turkish cuisine.
The Dinner Club will be held in the restaurant's private dining room, which was designed by
Bernard Carroll (who created the interiors for Panacea, San Carlo, and Cicchetti). It's an intimate, stylish space with its own bar and is the perfect setting for our gathering.
Address: 81 Bridge Street, Manchester M3 2RH

The menu: Turkish Delights
Begin with a starter that demonstrates how Turkish mezze is meant to taste, then enjoy a stand-out dish that captures the East-West fusion of Turkish cuisine: a beautifully tender slow-baked lamb. The vegetarian option, the moussaka, is one of their most popular requests. Finish on a rich chocolate torte, another long-standing favourite at Café Istanbul.
