APEROL Spritz, Italy's favourite libation, has set up a new pop-up bar on the lawns at Spinningfields.

Tennis fans can watch the action at Wimbledon on a giant TV screen while enjoying Aperol's sparkling 3-2-1 Spritz serve in the deckchairs

Liam Dickson 1Throughout Wimbledon fortnight, the Aperol Spritz Social bar will be offering city folk an escape from the rush and a place to relax with a chilled glass of Aperol Spritz.

This zesty, summer drink is fast becoming one of the UK's most popular tipples.

At the Aperol Spritz Social bar, tennis fans can watch the action at Wimbledon on a giant TV screen while enjoying Aperol's sparkling 3-2-1 Spritz serve in the deckchairs.

There's also table tennis, a photo booth, and on Friday, Saturday and Sundays evenings, live music from 7pm to 9pm.

The Aperol Spritz Social is open until Sunday 7 July from 12pm-12am (Sunday to Thursday) and from 12pm-1am (Friday and Saturday).

Aperol Spritz Recipe

To create your perfect 3-2-1 serve, fill a large wine glass with ice and pour in:

3 parts prosecco

2 parts Aperol

1 dash of soda water

Garnish with a slice of fresh orange.

Sit back, relax and enjoy.
