Veeno does birra as well as vino, you know

ITALY’S favourite craft beer is now available in Manchester city centre thanks to Veeno. Yes, the Italian Wine Café is about more than just vino, and now you can order Lisa lager on draught at the venue near the Town Hall.

Veeno has Lisa on tap, producing a light foam head that releases aromas that are both complex and elegant

Described as a ‘sessionable lager’, Lisa has crisp and fresh aromas with a clean dry finish. Golden in colour, it has a slight honey flavour – great for summer and available now as a pint or half pint. Not dissimilar to the mass-produced Peroni in being perfect for sunny weather, but at the craft end of premium lagers, Lisa is 5% ABV. Lisa is made by the brewer Birra del Borgo (BDB), known for their IPA-inspired Reale ale, and based in the Lazio region of Italy where you’ll find the capital Rome.

The simple golden Lisa pour is brewed using Cappelli wheat grain from the countryside of Puglia in southern Italy and the best Italian orange peel to give it a nice, soft bitterness, then amazingly ‘lagered’ by BDB. All BDB brews are available in bottles, but Veeno has Lisa on tap, producing a light foam head that releases aromas that are both complex and elegant, and earns it the description of being the perfect Italian lager.
