From Oompah bands to tabletop dancing to ginormous bratwurst and even bigger steins of beer; here are the best Oktoberfest activities in the city. Prost!
Albert's Schloss
We couldn't make this list and not mention the biggest Bavarian bar there is in the city. Until 3 October, Albert's Schloss will be celebrating all things Oktoberfest with special German beers, Bavarian feasts, bratwurst, smorgasbords, schnitzel and special showtimes.
September 16-3 October
Batch Bottlestore
According to Batch, they've been celebrating Oktoberfest for so long they're 'basically German'. Starting tomorrow, there'll be official Oktoberfest beer on keg and in bottles, all of which are available in steins for that authentic feel. Burger joint, I Call Myself Sanchez, will be providing the bratwurst. Be quick though, as the event is only running for as long as the beer is.

Manchester Bierkeller
What's better than Oktoberfest? An Oktoberfest bottomless brunch, of course.
Celebrate in true Bavarian style at Bierkeller with live entertainment and an hour of bottomless bier, stein cocktails and Prosecco. Tickets are on sale for £20.
21 October
Bundobust
Bundobust have launched their very own Oktoberfest menu; Bundobar. The menu features Indian twists on German favourites including a pretzel made with garam massala and turmeric dough, currywurst koftas, and moong and sauerkraut fritters. Get 'em while they're hot.
15 September-15 October
Cloudwater Brewery Taproom
From 27 September to 24 October, Cloudwater Brew Co are hosting Oktoberfest celebrations across all of their venues, including the brewery tap room and city centre pub, Sadler's Cat. They've brewed four German-inspired beers for the special occasion. Expect pretzels and big foamy pours.

Freight Island
Freight Island are transforming their massive venue into a huge Bier Hall, packed with comedy acts, Bavarian beers, a dedicated bratwurst menu and oompah bands (of course).
Expect late night parties over the weekend.
28 September- 1 October
The Lawn Club
Vas is dast? A traditional Bavarian knees-up in Spinningfields? Count us in.
Complete with traditional beers, food, decorations, DJ’s and, of course, a live oompah band, The Lawn Club will be hosting the ultimate Oktoberfest party. Bookings can be made here.
7 October
New Century
From supersized pints (£9 steins) to special burgers from Tallow and themed quizzes, New Century sure do know how to celebrate Oktoberfest in style. At New Century, Paulaner Oktoberfest will be on draught and the 'Bavarian Burger' will be a sight for sore eyes; beef patty, smoked German sausage, fried sauerkraut, smoked German cheese and beer mustard mayo - delish'.
16 September-3 October
Runaway Brewery
On the last weekend of September, Runaway Brewery is having an Oktoberfest takeover. There'll be 12 taps of Runaway-brewed, German-inspired beers including three new collaborations with Torrside Brewing, Zapato Brewing and Beer Moth/Yellowhammer. Pretzel and Spelt will be providing Bavarian pretzels, plus there'll be oompa tunes and festive bunting as far as the eye can see.
28-30 September
Wolf at the Door
Northern Quarter favourites, Wolf at the Door, known for their £1 tacos and bao buns have launched their Oktoberfest specials, including frankfurter fries, curry wurst bao, apple strudel tostadas and a variety of themed cocktails including the 'black forest gateaux' and 'damengarten'. Get down before they're gone.
