THE MIDLAND has announced Tuesday 12 March as the official opening of The French by Simon Rogan.
I can assure people we’ll be using the best of British-only produce and ingredients.
The French closed for refurbishment in January. The modern revamp has incorporated the room's Grade II listed elements, including original features.
The FrenchRogan, well known in the North West for his Michelin starred L'Enclume restaurant in Cartmel, said: “It’s been a very busy few months getting all the plans in place for the opening, but I know I’m speaking for the whole team when I say we’re more than ready to go. I’m also aware of how much interest there has been around the menu, and I can assure people we’ll be using the best of British-only produce and ingredients. Apart from that you’ll have to wait until the opening when all will be revealed.”
Mike Magrane, General Manager at The Midland, said: “We’re very much looking forward to re-opening the doors of The French and welcoming diners to enjoy our exquisite menu. There is a huge affection for The Midland Hotel in Manchester, and we’re confident our guests will not find a food offering of this standard anywhere else in the city.”
The restaurant opening times will be Tuesday – Saturday, with a lunch menu served between noon and 2pm, and dinner sitting starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm. Prices: lunch, £29 for three courses, £55 for six courses; dinner, £55 for six courses or £79 for ten courses.
