WHAT do you get if you add Shooters to Bierkeller? Sportskeller, of course!
Sportskeller will keep the long bench seating and famous Bavarian Stompers show that make Bierkeller’s lively atmosphere so unique on weekends, adding popular elements from Shooters, including Champions League football matches and title fights live on a giant screen, and introducing new midweek highlights such as student specials like Sportskeller’s Got Talent.

Four potential sites have been earmarked for the new Sportskeller venues, in cities and towns across the country smaller than those with the full Bierkeller Entertainment Complexes. There are six of these, in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Nottingham and Cardiff, housing three venues under one roof – Bierkeller Bavarian bar, sports bar Shooters and Around the World, which specialises in world food and beers.
The venues are run by BurningNight Group, which also manages concept bar and grill brands The Potting Shed and FirePit Smokehouse & Sports Bar, and the American-style barbecue restaurant Smokin’ Bar & Kitchen, which opens in Leeds this month.
To help support the new Sportskeller launches, BurningNight Group have created a crowdfunding campaign with Crowdstacker to attract investment. Group CEO Allan Harper says: “Our existing bars are consistently busy, and we know our customers love what the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex has to offer. That’s why we want to give them, and potential new customers, the chance to get involved at the beginning of our newest brand.”
