If you're halfway through Veganuary, this will make the rest a pizza cake
Everyone loves a slice of Rudy’s and we’re all missing the buzz of its restaurants in real life. Those local to the pizzerias can smugly enjoy hot Neapolitan pizzas delivered to their door by Deliveroo but last year Rudy’s also launched a bake-at-home version available for nationwide delivery so nobody misses out based on their postcode.
The 13-inch pizzas start at £6.90 each plus £6 for packaging and overnight chilled delivery
Now, as part of the ever more popular Veganuary craze, Rudy’s is making sure that nobody misses out based on dietary choices either. While there’s always been a token vegan option available from the bake-at-home range, now there are three.
One of Rudy’s longest-standing pizzaiolos, Peppe, has created what he calls ‘the ultimate Vegan pizza’ with a butternut squash base, roquito peppers, green chillies, tenderstem broccoli, red onions, basil, thyme, and pine nuts.
There’s also the Ortolana, with San Marzano tomatoes, roasted butternut squash, red onions, toasted pine nuts, fresh chilli and sundried tomatoes.
These two join an established Rudy’s vegan classic, the Vegan N’Duja, with San Marzano tomatoes, preserved black bean n’duja, celeriac ‘ricotta’ and fresh basil.
If you’re not veggie, vegan or having a go for Veganuary, also available in ‘Bake at Home’ style are a whole load of pizzas to please the omnivores. There's Calabrese (San Marzano tomatoes, parmesan, basil, fior di latte, n’duja), Margherita Con Bufala (San Marzano tomatoes, parmesan, basil, buffalo mozzarella), Portobello (San Marzano tomatoes, fresh veggie fior di latte, portobello mushrooms, basil, oregano, sea salt, garlic oil), and Carni (San Marzano tomatoes, parmesan, Napoli salami, salami picante, wild boar and salami).
The 13-inch pizzas start at £6.90 each plus £6 for packaging and overnight chilled delivery. They’re available for next day delivery if ordered by 5pm and can be stored in the freezer if you want to stock up. We tried them out last year along with a few other cook-at-home pizza kits and had no complaints.
Alongside ‘Bake at Home’, Rudy's online shop also stocks merchandise, including Rudy's Pale Ale, a collaboration with their friends at Runaway Brewery. Buying merchandise is another great way to support your local hospitality venues through this horrific time.
