The viral doughnut spot is heading to the Northern Quarter this month
Viral doughnut brand Rodeo Doughnuts has confirmed they will open a store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter this autumn.
Since launching in 2017, the brand has become known for its handcrafted doughnuts with quirky names inspired by celebs, like the ‘Sean Cone-ery’, ‘Ice Ice Bae Bae’ and ‘David Hasselhoff’. Flavours change seasonally, and customers can expect special flavours over Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. They offer an extensive gluten-free and vegan doughnut range too.
With 13 stores already in London and the south, the new Stevenson Square site will be Rodeo’s northern flagship store.
Owner, Tom Anderson, says: “I consider the bakery scene in Manchester to be the best in the UK. The city offers so much, and for a long time, it’s been a place I’ve wanted to open a store.
And after eight years of plying our trade in London, it was time to expand north. The store we have secured is in a great location in Stevenson Square, the heart of the Northern Quarter, and we can’t wait to bring our well-loved doughnuts closer to more fans. Lots of our current customers asked if we’d open a store in the north, so here we are!”
Following in the footsteps of their current stores, customers will also be able to purchase a selection of cookies, with takeout hot and cold drinks available too.
“Our mission is to share our doughnuts with as many people as possible. Whether people grab a doughnut for a quick sweet treat, take a box into work, take them round to friends’ houses or order doughnuts for delivery. We’re dedicated to bringing people together over doughnuts. We have a lot of plans for this Manchester store and initiatives we want to do alongside the people of Manchester – we can’t wait to embed our doughnuts in the community here,” adds Tom.
The new Manchester store is set to open in October. Rodeo is actively recruiting for team members and welcomes applicants to join their northern store team.
