MOTORISTS are being advised that a small number of road closures will be in place as a result of the Labour Party Annual Conference, which Manchester is hosting this year.
The conference runs from Sunday 30 September until Thursday 4 October at Manchester Central, with the National Women’s Conference held on Saturday 29 September and Sunday 30 September.
Windmill Street, between Mount Street and Museum Street, will be closed from 7am on Wednesday 26 September to allow for site preparations.
Lower Mosley Street, inbound between Great Bridgewater Street and Windmill Street, along with Windmill Street between Lower Mosley Street and Museum Street, and Mount Street between Windmill Street and Peter Street, will be closed from 7am on Friday 28 September.
The removal of road restrictions will begin late on Thursday 4 October and will finish by early evening on the following day.
Meanwhile, parking bays on Mount Street will be suspended from 8pm on Thursday 27 September until 8am on Friday 5 October, and bays on Museum Street and Peter Street will be suspended from 8pm on Friday 28 September until 8am on Friday 5 October.

Metrolink services will run as normal throughout the conference, but passengers using the Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop are advised that the bridge link to AMC Great Northern and the footpath to Windmill Street will be closed from 7am on Friday 28 September until Friday 5 October.
