A look back at the restaurants that blew our socks off this year

It’s been a busy year in the world of food and drink - we’ve seen newcomer restaurants earn their stripes (or stars, should we say?), bowed our heads as some old favourites sadly closed their doors, and cheered on neighbourhood champions as they continue to do what they do best. 

Before we dive headfirst into 2026, let's look back at some of the best reviews we've written in 2025. Here are places that blew our socks off this year (and are more than likely to blow yours off, too).
