Harley Young is left in awe when the party’s over
Last night, global icon and environmentalist Billie Eilish delighted the audience at Co-op Live with the third of her four-night residency at the arena.
Aligning with Billie’s values and dedication to environmental action, Co-op Live has committed to a fully plant-based food menu across all four performance dates, including the themed ‘Billie Eilish Burrito’. A video reel highlighting the number of environmentally-friendly changes made to the tour, including using recycled polyester to create merch, played ahead of the main act’s showstopping set, underlining the importance of shifting towards sustainable live entertainment.
Supporting the chart-topping artist’s Hit Me Hard and Soft tour is Los Angeles-born singer Syd, widely recognised for their work with R&B band The Internet. Syd warmed the audience up nicely, even providing an arena-wide sing-along with their rendition of Bob Marley’s Is This Love.
Shortly after 8pm, Eilish appeared on the centre stage in a giant LED cube to earth-shattering, decibel meter-breaking screams from her loyal fan base (some of whom had camped out for days for this moment).
Wasting no time, Billie had the crowd up on their feet with CHIHIRO before charging on with LUNCH from the same 2024 album.
For the next hour and a half, the 23-year-old hit-maker took her adoring fans on a journey through her award-winning discography, belting out favourites like WILDFLOWER, bad guy and bury a friend before hopping over to the B-stage for a fiery performance of her and Charli xcx’s summer 2024 anthem Guess.
Back over on the main stage, Billie slowed things down again with lovely and a surprise appearance from big brother FINNEAS who joined for the beautifully heartfelt ballads dontwannabeyouanymore and ocean eyes.
The show was brought to a triumphant end with Billie and FINNEAS laying down face-melting riffs surrounded by fire to punch packing track Happier Than Ever followed by confetti cannons at the crescendo of closing track BIRDS OF A FEATHER.
