MANCHESTER Pride have announced a host of new acts to join multi-platinum selling band Texas at this year's Big Weekend event taking place over the August bank holiday weekend (28-31 August)

Atomic Kitten and Union J will be joined by Lucy Spraggan, girlband Stooshe, Manchester DJ veteran Graeme Park, Andy Butler and DJ Fresh

Reunited girlband Atomic Kitten - consisting of Kerry Katona, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton - will perform tracks including The Tide Is High and Whole Again after reforming for an ITV documentary in 2012.

Boyband Union J will also be taking to the stage for the Big Weekend, fresh from their tour supporting The Vamps. Shooting to fame following their appearance on The X Factor in 2012, the boys placed fourth but their boyish charm and harmonies secured them a deal with RCA records, releasing their hit debut single Carry You in 2013.

Atomic Kitten and Union J will be joined by more newly announced acts including: Lucy Spraggan, girlband Stooshe, Manchester DJ veteran Graeme Park, Andy Butler and DJ Fresh - currently storming the charts with Gravity featuring Ella Eyre.

Parky is the perfect addition to the line-up due to his Manchester roots.
