Party on at The Pen and Pencil

KNOWN as a place for an inventive take on brunch, a twist on a classic cocktail and a perfect day-into-night vibe, The Pen and Pencil is open seven days a week with events always on the go.

 Tuesday night is quiz night with plenty of prizes at Quizimodo’s Pencils Down, while Wine and Dine Wednesdays with Live Music dishes up a great package: two main meals, a bottle of wine and acts (including Taylor and the Mason, Chris Small, Charlie Reader, Nick Steed, and Bourbon and Blues with Walklate and Lawley), all just £30. Friday and Saturday nights showcase the talents of some of the best DJs in Manchester, with highlights this winter of Duncan Wallis, Sam Flanagan, DJ Paulette, Mark Hogg, David Dunne and Joey T. 

Bottomless Brunch - Saturday 24 November, from 10am

With a grand total of seven dishes as well as five breakfast drinks to choose from, the P+P Bottomless Brunch (£40 per person) is the breakfast of champions – think steak and eggs, American-style pancakes, hash and more. Of course you have to book – get on it now!

 Melvo Baptiste - Saturday 1 December, 8pm-2am

Melvo Baptiste of Glitterbox fame is back on the decks, supported by A Deeper Groove, kicking off a month of festivities at The Pen and Pencil with a free night of deep and soulful house, disco, rare groove and golden era soul. 

Christmas Bottomless Brunch - Sunday 16 December (10am-1pm for the normal Bottomless Brunch and 2-5pm for the disco sitting)

All-day Bottomless Brunch is go, celebrating the festive season with two special sittings – morning and afternoon, when a guest DJ gets the disco going. In each session, brunchers have three hours to demolish as many tasty plates as they wish, all washed down with Prosecco, mimosas or breakfast cocktails. It’s £40 a head, and you’ll need to book a slot in advance.

 The Pen and Pencil Christmas Party - Saturday 22 December, 8pm-2am

Work’s over so let’s party, Pen and Pencil style. Headlining is British electronic music mogul Sally Rodgers (A Man Called Adam), with support from A Deeper Groove, for soul, funk, disco, house and party vibes all night long. What’s more, it’s free in!

The Pen & Pencil New Years Eve Party - Monday 31 December, 8pm-2am

Dance the night away, right into 2019, at The Pen & Pencil’s free NYE bash with DJ Sam Flanagan. Expect the year’s best soundtrack, cocktail giveaways, dancing till the early hours and special offers including £15 bottles of Prosecco before 10pm. Limited Party Packages are available, with VIP bottle service (gin, vodka or rum and mixers), party pack and table reservation for £100 per table.
