AS WELL as a packed programme of long-running shows, the Palace Theatre and Opera House are all set to warm up your winter with some stand out one night events. With music, dance, comedy and more in the mix, there's sure to be something for everyone.

For real belly laughs, Omid Djalili is back on tour after a sell-out residency in Edinburgh with Iranalamadingdong

Music fans have plenty to choose from. Whether you want to celebrate the 35 years since Queen was formed with Mercury – The Ultimate Queen Tribute (Palace, Thursday 26 February), dig out your bell-bottoms and strut your stuff at Waterloo – The Best Of Abba Tribute Show (Palace, Friday 27 February) or dance in the aisles to The Meat Loaf Story (Opera House, Wednesday 25 March), you'll be spoilt for choice.

Take a trip back in time with The Solid Silver 60's Show headlined by Billy J Kramer on their 30th anniversary tour (Palace, Monday 23 March) or be swept away by the stirring music of The Fureys, legends of Irish music (Opera House, Tuesday 17 March).

If musicals are your thing, Beyond The Barricade (Opera House, Friday 20 March) brings the most memorable songs from all your favourite musicals. But if you just can't stop singing along, don't miss Sing-Along-A Sound Of Music (Opera House, Sunday 15 March)  where you can belt out your favourites as you watch this classic film, complete with subtitles.

For something a little different, enjoy an evening of entertainment with Psychic Sally On The Road (Opera House, Thursday 12 March) and don't miss The Night Of The Zombie, the latest incarnation from Britain's Got Talent's The Circus Of Horrors (Opera House, Monday 9 March). It's a story interwoven with some of the greatest and most bizarre circus acts on earth.

On a similar theme, watch out for Vampires Rock  - The Final Countdown Tour (Palace, Saturday 28 February). Frontman Steve Steinman as Baron Von Rockula and a full cast of singers and dancers are set to blast their way through some of the greatest ever rock, teamed with pyrotechnics to blow your mind. 

For real belly laughs, Omid Djalili is back on tour after a sell-out residency in Edinburgh with Iranalamadingdong (Opera House, Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March) and star of Black Books, Dylan Moran, comes to town with his brand new stand up show, Off The Hook (Opera House, Thursday 19 March).

Finally, set to dazzle audiences with a brand new show, A Night To Remember, Brendan Cole, one of Strictly Come Dancing's most charismatic performers, leads his cast on a journey of music and dance in a spectacular night of theatrical entertainment that's loaded with ballroom magic and Latin excitement!
