MMU scientists and technicians are celebrating Healthcare Science Week by presenting a series of simple, fun and hands-on experiments, presentations and lectures.
Learn some fascinating things about your body & science... do you know how clean (or dirty!) your hands really are? How fit are you? How many cells are there in a drop of your blood? You can also take part in some weird experiments and visit the state-of-the-art biomechanical physiology labs.
Dress up in lab coat and googles & have your photograph taken. Be stimulated by lectures and debates on topical issues such as DNA & genetics, stem cells and learn about embarrasing illnesses courtesy of MMU microbiologist Val Edwards-Jones from TV's Embarrassing Bodies.

The Tech Factor Challenge and Bug Hunt at Manchester Museum

COMPLETE the Tech Factor Challenge, follow the code clues to search for examples of technology amongst the museum’s displays. At each clue in the hunt you'll find a person in character to help explain the technology.
Look out for the ancient Egyptian mummy, astronaut and polar bear to name a few. In the Bug Hunt, you can look for 'bugs' and 'germs' pictures that are hidden around the Museum’s Discovery Centre.
