Old Trafford football ground will host nine Olympic football matches this summer, as some of the world’s top nations compete in Manchester as part of the 2012 Games.

Team GB’s opening game will give fans the first opportunity to see the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the form of a brand new squad that will take on Senegal at Old Trafford. It takes place on Thursday 26 July.

Five-time World Cup winners but never Olympic champions, Brazil, will play Belarus on Sunday 29 July. In the first of the two double-headers at Old Trafford, Egypt and New Zealand will meet later that day.

Current world and European champions, Spain, will be coming to dazzle the Old Trafford crowd as they’re scheduled to meet Morocco on Wednesday 1 August.
