Vesuvio is a restaurant with a reputation. We are proud to bring you the authentic food of the Campania region of Southern Italy. Our dishes are strongly linked to our heritage and it is this that sets us apart from generic Italian restaurants.
Head Chef Giuseppe Lombardo has plenty of experience at bringing high-level Italian cuisine to Manchester, working previously as Head Chef at Cicchetti
If you loved Cicchetti, you’ll love Vesuvio.
Giuseppe now brings his talents for cooking exquisite seafood, pasta, pizza and more to his own family restaurant here in Worsley.
Fish and seafood is a real speciality at Vesuvio but you won’t find it on the menu. Instead, Giuseppe works with suppliers to find the freshest seafood available and only then designs his specials around it.
From paccheri alla genovese made with six-hour slow-cooked beef and onion ragu for real depth of flavour to the pizzas made with caputo flour, san marzano tomatoes and seafood specials dependent entirely on using the best, at Vesuvio we do everything properly. No shortcuts, no changing age-old recipes to suit English palates.
This is real cooking, from Campania with love.
Vesuvio is just a £10 Uber from Manchester city centre and only 5 minutes from Junction 13 (Worsley) of the M60.
