Brunch & burgers at The Pen and Pencil

The Pen and Pencil is brunch. Served from 10am till 4pm every day, we’ve made what is basically just a mash-up of breakfast and lunch into an art form. A very tasty art form.

We do all the classics like eggs benedict and our own signatures too, like the P&P breakfast, also available in veggie and vegan form. Whatever you’ve been up to the night before, this will see you right.

It’s not just steak and eggs you know, we can be sweet too. Take our heavenly honey and gingerbread French toast – it’s dishes like this that make The Pen and Pencil Manchester’s must-visit brunch destination.

If mornings are all about brunch cocktails and bacon and maple syrup pancake stacks (and we’re using the word morning very loosely) then afternoons are made for burgers.

Served every day from midday our burgers are an NQ original. Our signature burger is simple, but it’s exactly what you want from a burger. No weird ingredients that sound good on social but taste diabolical, just quality beef, mixed with marrow and topped with cheese, bacon, sliced tomato, shredded iceberg, red onion, dill pickle, ketchup and mustard. Perfect.

You’ll find the same approach with our other burgers: buttermilk chicken, tempura salmon, halloumi, vegan and our New York stack burger. Every one is made from flavours that just work. Who wants Monster Munch in their burger anyway?
