Our brunchy bits have got a bit more of a kick with ‘nduja baked eggs and shakshuka with fried eggs. We all need a bit of chilli heat when it’s er, chilly. And if it’s a bit of autumnal indulgence you’re after, cashmere and lambswool are all very well, but you can’t eat them so may we recommend our red velvet french toast instead?
The main courses have had a seasonal overhaul too and we’ve put everyone’s favourite hearty cold weather warmer on there. Oh, lovely lamb shank, meat falling off the bone into a rich gravy – where would be without you on these dark dreary evenings? Done right, a good lamb shank dish is as satisfying as a roaring fire after a long walk. So walk on up for some satisfaction and mash.
Other new main courses include hasselback potatoes in a rich tomato and basil sauce or hake and mussels. Don’t worry, our famous flat iron steak with chimichurri is going nowhere.
The brisket burger is our AW2020 classic. It’s definitely seasonal. You wouldn’t eat it in a bikini. But the slow-cooked beef is bang on trend when it comes feeling coddled and cosseted. It’s what we all need right now. Our Mexican black bean burger and our cauliflower tacos are sure to become vegan classics too with just the right mix of spice hit and cuddly comfort food vibe.
