Eat the week at Sam’s Chop House

The Famous Sam’s Chop House has stood proud as one of Manchester’s most celebrated bars and restaurants since 1872, serving not only the best of traditional British cooking with a modern take but also a fine selection of ales, wines and spirits, curated by renowned Manchester sommelier George Bergier – so you’ll be in good hands.

Dig into brunch from 10am until 3pm Thursday to Sunday. Pick from the likes of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or eggs Benedict with Yorkshire cured ham, full English or a breakfast barm.

The bar menu is available Monday to Saturday from noon into the evening, with sharing platters, including the Great British Cheeseboard, and Mrs Beeton-style classics, from braised steak and kidney pudding to Best Bitter-battered cod and chips, and from Sam’s fish pie sprinkled with Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese to corned beef hash.

On Sundays, two courses are £19.95 and three are £24.95, with traditional roast dinners served from the carving trolley, including 28-day aged roast rump of beef with Yorkshire pudding and half a roast Shropshire chicken with sage and onion stuffing, along with all the trimmings. Seems the Chop House has your week wrapped up!
