With a brand new menu spanning Lincolnshire cauliflower soup to Bleiker’s Scottish salmon, Mr Thomas is taking diners on a gastronomic tour around Blighty this summer. Flavoursome newcomers abound - ratatouille tart and goat’s cheese, hake and chorizo, refreshing sorbet - but you’ll still find hearty classics like the famous corned beef hash for when the weather, well, isn’t so summery.

So, to celebrate this little pocket of tranquillity next to St Ann’s Church, the team have Tom’s have whipped up an equally tempting summer garden menu. Think heritage tomato and fennel summer salad, fish and mushy pea barm and vanilla rice pudding with poached Yorkshire rhubarb and gingerbread.

From Ridings Reserve roast rump to Shropshire chicken and award-winning cheese pie - all served with the proper trimmings - meat-eaters and veggies alike will find plenty to suit.
