Welcome to Food Sorcery – a cookery and barista school based at the Waterside Hotel in Didsbury, Manchester. Whether you want a fun, hands-on cooking session, a foodie night out with a difference, or a team-building activity everyone will enjoy, we can deliver bespoke events with a twist.
Want to try something different to the usual restaurant meal out? At our Cooking Together events, you and a friend (or a group of friends) work alongside our chef to create a three-course, restaurant-inspired meal. It's as much about chatting and relaxing (and eating) as it is about learning new cooking skills which you can reproduce at home. And it all culminates in a communal feast in our gorgeous dining room with its riverside terrace.
Not your average corporate day out, our cookery sessions are informal, fun, and a great way to get your team thinking creatively and collaboratively. And we offer all the facilities you might need for an away-day, including a conference room, a spa and gym, and hotel rooms.
We have cookery courses for all abilities, from absolute beginners to experienced home-chefs to those training for barista and chalet maid positions. Our masterclasses include Fish 3 ways, cheese-making and how to cook the perfect steak (plus many more top ticks & tricks that'll make you a whiz in the kitchen).
Our kids classes introduce your children to basic cooking skills (and we even offer a course for teenagers leaving home for university). Or join us as a family at one of our Big & little Cooks events– it's quality time together learning something new.
