POPULARITY is all very well but it’s not as good as cake.
Confidential’s editor-at-large, Jonathan Schofield, found out for himself when he indulged at Grill On The Alley then taunted us with said delicacy. He’s now in the office black books but doesn’t give a damn.
Rub their noses in it by flaunting a chocolate muffin and a coffee
Treat yourself twice over with the new Lunch Hour menu from Grill On The Alley. The haters, and quite frankly everyone in your office, are gonna hate, hate, hate it when you turn up after your lunch break looking all smug and satisfied from a slap-up meal and rub their noses in it by flaunting a chocolate muffin and a coffee.
That’s right – at Grill On The Alley there are not one, but two, opportunities to make everyone else green with envy.
Step one, tuck in to a brand new menu for just £12.95 including a glass of wine (125ml) or a beer. The menu features tasty new dishes such as chicken breast skewers and classics like steak frites or smoked haddock with poached egg. Mmmm Mmmm. Cue much harrumphing amongst the Tupperware brigade when you get back to your desk.
What’s more, just as you’re thinking, ‘Is that the time? I really must get back to work.’ you’ll be presented with a filter coffee and a muffin to take away. Remember to waft them around under everyone’s noses on your return. Congratulations – you’ve found a two-in-one sure-fire way to get on everyone’s nerves and feel pretty wonderful yourself into the bargain.
If you find the dagger eyes a bit much, let your colleagues in to your secret and take them to Grill On The Alley. That way, you can all have your cake and eat it.
The Lunch Hour menu at Grill On The Alley is available Monday to Saturday, midday – 5pm.
