MAD hospitality group is launching a beach club-themed venue in...The Printworks
MAD - the hospitality company behind Northern Quarter haunts like Hula, Walrus and Rosylee - is launching a new boozy joint; Lazy Lizard.
The new late-night, 'state-of-the-art' venue promises to bring an Ibizan beach-club vibe to The Printworks and is set to open in the 'signature MAD style' with a blowout launch party in November
Kitted out by Manchester interior designers No Chintz, Lazy Lizard will be set over two floors, with an overall capacity of 800. There'll also be a VIP mezzanine level for up to 200, with luxury booths and table service.
With a focus on recreating the White Isle's carefree party vibes, even the lighting will mimic the setting sun as you kick back with your cocktail. As the tone changes from day to night, guests can expect European house music from a mixture of local and Ibizan DJs.
Lazy Lizard will open from Thursday to Saturday; playing techno, deep and classic house music until 4am every weekend, as well as hosting monthly Ibizan club nights.
Mark Andrew, managing director of MAD Ltd said: “This is the biggest site in the MAD portfolio, so very exciting for us and a concept we have been working on for a long time.
"Ibiza is all about crazy parties and carefree fun in beautiful places, which is what we are creating with Lazy Lizard. There’s nowhere else in the city you’ll be able to experience quality house music in a venue as cool as this, which has a faithful resemblance to a true Balearic club.”
To keep up to date with the launch plans, customers can follow Lazy Lizard on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
