YOUR stomach’s rumbling, your mouth’s watering and visions of fresh pizza slices haunt your every minute. Yes, it’s that time of day. And so you quickly dash to the nearest chain and grab a substandard sarnie, or else rustle up something and make do. It’s a common dilemma that never gets any less painful.

But behold, No 1 Watson Street - purveyors of over 50 craft beers and ciders, not to mention some of the best pizzas around - have come to the rescue, teaming up with Deliveroo to launch a handy delivery service. Whether lunch or later, it’s available all day from midday to midnight: simply sign up or login - then place your order and hey presto.

Pizzas are a No 1 speciality. Dough is handmade and proved for twelve hours, then cooked on polenta for extra flavour. They even have an Italian pizza chef, how’s that for authentic? Choose from the likes of: Funghi - sautéed chestnut mushrooms and award-winning Perl Las blue cheese drizzled with white truffle oil; Reggae Rhythm - a pumped up version of the Hawaiian, with extra juicy pulled pork braised in a rum and BBQ marinade, topped with pineapple salsa; and Sheep Thrills - locally-sourced lamb koftas with onions, roast peppers and mint yoghurt.

 

 

We could go on but you get the gist. Why not order in for the office or enjoy at home with a beer? There’s everything from Magic Rock stout to Beavertown IPA.

Either way, satisfying hunger pangs sans hassle is now in the bag.
