ONE big annual event that never stands still is Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show. Now in its fifth year in Manchester, this inspirational showcase of all that’s best in globetrotting will pack out EventCity between January 21 and January 24.
Alongside more than 180 exhibitors and a host of ‘show-only’ exclusive offers, discounts and upgrades from leading travel companies are some important fresh additions.
New for 2016 is the exclusive ‘MASTA’ Travel Health Clinic, providing free personalised advice on staying safe and health abroad from a team of expert nurses, plus in an experts’ theatre providing essential information before you travel. MASTA means (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad). The following essential talks will be held throughout each day in the Travel Health Theatre – ‘Malaria’, ‘Staying Safe’, ‘Adventurous Travel’.
Also making its debut is a new Travel Photography Masterclass. Led by professional photographer Steve Davey, these two-hour masterclasses will help sharpen skills and iron out bad habits. There is also the opportunity for Steve, author of internationally best-selling Unforgettable Places to See Before You Die (BBC Books), to give personal feedback on individual photos as part of each session.
