THE company behind all day restaurant and late bar Neighbourhood in Spinningfields (pictured) and Victor’s in Hale has secured a multi million pound injection of development capital from Manchester-based private equity firm NorthEdge.

Work recently began on a second Neighbourhood in Liverpool

This investment will allow the owner, James Hitchen, and his team to fulfill an ambitious growth strategy, giving them the green light to roll out both concepts in city centres and upmarket suburban locations across the UK.

The business is expected to record a turnover of £8m this year and has recently started work on a second Neighbourhood site in Liverpool which will take staff numbers to 200.

Neighbourhood in Spinningfields has recently reopened after having undergone a £1m refurbishment. Both brands have developed strong followings as a result of their 'celeb magnet' atmosphere and menus based around premium steaks, fresh seafood and sushi, inspired by California and the West Coast.

James Hitchen, founder of Neighbourhood and Victor’s, said: “Both brands have proven to be hugely successful in Manchester and we are delighted to have NorthEdge on board as a partner to support us through the next stage of our development. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our offering and the additional funding from NorthEdge will give us the firepower to become one of the best premium casual dining brands in the UK.”
