Combined with outlandish styling and a diva-like swagger, if popstars could be bought and assembled in a few hours like an Ikea wardrobe, the collection would definitely be named Misha.
Having become a conveyor belt for identikit acts, X Factor runners up have a tendency to pile into the studio and release a single, album, autobiography, doll and greatest hits catalogue quicker than you can say Jeward. Misha on the other hand has gone for a different approach.
Misha B 'Why Hello World' Mixtape
As with many of the rap stars she cites as inspiration, Misha’s brought out a mixtape to put the feelers out before her debut album. Clever move given the success story of Nicki Minaj who started out doing just that. The American rapper released three mixtapes between 2007 and 2009 before getting caught up in a major record label bidding war. She’s now the only female solo artist to have had seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the same time.
Introducing her mixtape, ‘Why Hello World’ Misha B says: ‘This is my mixtape. It's a mix of songs I've been working on in the studio and songs by artists that inspire me.
