MANCHESTER International Festival will today (Tuesday 23 June) release the last few remaining tickets for some of the festival's largest commissions and most intimate shows, including a handful of previously sold-out performances.

From 10am punters will be given a last chance to catch Icelandic superstar Björk's return to the festival at the Castlefield Arena (5 July), four years on from debuting her ground-breaking multimedia 'Biophilia' project just down the road at Upper Campfield Hall.

MIF will also release the final tickets for Arca & Jess Kanda's previously sold out night at Ancoats' Hallé St Peter’s, The Invisible Dot's Adam Buxton & Friends in Albert Square (3-5 July), and Manchester Camerata's one-night spectacular with Estonian composer, Avro Part ('the world's most played living composer'), at The Bridgewater Hall (12 July).

There'll also be more low-cost £12 tickets released by the festival for Greater Manchester residents on or below the national living wage.
