BROOKLYN-based dance crew FlexN have taken over Manchester.
FlexN aren't the shy and retiring type.
The troupe of malleable-bodied 'flexers' have been spotted 'bone-breakin', pauzin' and wavin' across the city ahead of their first European performances for Manchester International Festival. Lead by dance pioneer Reggie ‘Regg Roc’ Gray, the specially assembled team of dancers even stunned passengers at the Manchester Victoria tram stop with an impromptu dance-off.
FlexN aren't the shy and retiring type.
The performances, taking place over six days from 11-18 July at the Old Granada Studios, promise to be one of the more visually arresting dance acts on the bill (seriously, these dancers are as bendy as a silly straw). Director Alex Poots hints at a show both artistically developed and still so underground'.
FlexN have also promised a transatlantic exchange and will also debut Manchester based dancers in the shows.
Follow dancers Reggie ‘Regg Roc’ Gray; Ace’ ; ‘Android’ ; ‘Banks’ ; ‘Brixx’ ; ‘Cal’; Deidra ‘Dayntee’ Braz; ‘Dre Don’; Sam ‘Sam I Am’ ; ‘Slicc’ and ‘Tyme’ as they continue to take Manchester.
