The newcomers have already received high praise during their first year of opening

Michelin has just announced the latest additions to be added to the Michelin Guide as of this month, and three of those restaurants are right here in Greater Manchester.

Manchester’s produce-led, modern British restaurant Pip, run by acclaimed chef Mary-Ellen McTague, is one of the standout spots that caught Michelin’s inspector’s attention. Since opening earlier this year at Treehouse Hotel Manchester, Pip has quickly established itself as a standout dining destination in the city. The restaurant celebrates the heritage of the North West, with contemporary seasonal cookery.

Speaking on the recognition, Mary-Ellen McTague said: '“We’re over the moon to be included in the Michelin Guide so soon after opening! It’s an incredible honour, made possible by the dedication of our amazing team and the support of our wonderful suppliers. Working with them to showcase the very best of the North West is a daily joy.”

Receiving accolades alongside Pip is fellow city centre restaurant Winsome and suburb favourite, Cantaloupe in Stockport.
