THIS weekend, Metrolink is bringing tram aficionado and celebrity chef John Torode to Manchester for a live cookery masterclass as part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

The Metrolink Masterclass with John Torode is one of the highlights of the middle weekend of the Festival and will take place in the Festival Hub in Albert Square on Saturday 29th September at 3pm. The Masterchef guru will whip up some of his favourite dishes and share tips in an interactive Q & A session style cookery show.
Philip Purdy, Transport for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink Director, says: “Metrolink is at the heart of the city and we are proud to work with the Manchester Food and Drink Festival to develop inspiring food-orientated events. The Metrolink Masterclass with John Torode promises to be a fantastic insight into the culinary passions of one of our favourite TV stars and I know tickets are selling out fast.”
Other Live demonstrations taking place over the weekend include: Frank Bordoni and Kaleido Chef at 4.30pm, Eric Moreau from 63 Degrees at 3pm on Sunday 30th, and Yang Sing chefs performing a hands on dim sum demo. All chef demonstrations aside from John Torode are free entry.
Tickets for the Metrolink Masterclass with John Torode cost £5.
