THE RIVER RESTAURANT - Two courses for £19.95 / Three courses for £24.95

Located in the five-star Lowry Hotel, this glass-walled riverside restaurant prides itself on a constantly-evolving menu which takes advantage of the best seasonal produce. ALBERT'S SCHLOSS - Chicken schnitzel burger, fries + drink £10

Manchester's friendly Bavarian bier palace and most spectacularly popular venue are currently offering a smashing lunch deal including a chicken schnitzel burger, fries and a skiwater (which we'd hoped was Alpine-favourite Jägermeister, but is actually 'organic mountain raspberry with crisp, clear Alpine spring water'... yay) for £10. With two courses normally costing £19.95 at King Street’s new fine-dining spot, this generous offer means a glass of fizz costs just 21p. HAWKSMOOR - £15 Rump-n-Chips

Though Hawksmoor rightly didn't modify their menu or prices when hightailing it to Manchester from that there London, what they did do was stick a 55-day aged rump steak with chips on the Mancunian lunch menu for £15. Bargain. And you did know rump is the steak-eaters steak, right?

Per Tutti is bringing some Mediterranean sunshine to our cold spring start with two courses for £10. Created daily, dishes are fresh and tasty; from steaks to salads to seafood. The TV chef's restaurant has extended its winter offer throughout March: six winter taster courses for just £30, with the option of adding matching wines for £15. Offer available Monday to Thursday only. Whilst the menu changes regularly, previous dishes have included celeriac dashi with ox cheek dumpling and Wye Valley asparagus with duck egg.
